The Island continues to surprise me. It is one of the very, very best places to have solar panels in place. We are in the shadow of the Olympic Mountains; therefore, we get more sun and less rain. We get enough rain to wash the solar panels clean. We get enough sun to empower the panels quite nicely. This state has given tax breaks and incentives to folks who want to harness the sun. The system will pay for itself in a very brief amount of time. And then, the system will add money into our pockets because we are helping our neighbors.
Why does this country not embrace this energy solution? Why does this country not throw money at solar options, instead of oil production?
