{"id":892,"date":"2013-08-28T13:21:31","date_gmt":"2013-08-28T20:21:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=892"},"modified":"2013-08-28T13:21:31","modified_gmt":"2013-08-28T20:21:31","slug":"show-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=892","title":{"rendered":"Show Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/kitchen-counter21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-893\" alt=\"S\" src=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/kitchen-counter21-300x200.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/kitchen-counter21-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/kitchen-counter21-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/kitchen-counter21.jpg 1162w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Show Time &#8211; for our little abode is one month from yesterday.\u00a0 How can that be?<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t even think about it, so I&#8217;ll tell you about the weather.<\/p>\n<p>Whidbey Island has had an extended\u00a0spate of summer weather.\u00a0 The sun has shone daily.\u00a0 Little or no rain has fallen.\u00a0 The Island is\u00a0under a fire ban.\u00a0 I hope that nonsense didn&#8217;t follow us from Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, a lovely storm blew in and it rained all night.\u00a0 The sound was relaxing.\u00a0 This morning, on a drive to Clinton, the Island was wrapped in high clouds and fog and mist, with the sun peeking through.\u00a0 The trees were freshly washed and looked brilliant.\u00a0 Some of the leaves have begun to turn yellow and they drift out over the road.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t realize how much I missed that rain and aftermath, until now.<\/p>\n<p>Bring on fall.\u00a0 I look forward to the leaves\u00a0cascading around the property as we sit on our deck.\u00a0 It is magical how the leaves\u00a0drift and twirl from the tops of the trees.\u00a0 Sparkling yellow bits of fall.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Show Time &#8211; for our little abode is one month from yesterday.\u00a0 How can that be?
