{"id":709,"date":"2013-03-16T15:44:16","date_gmt":"2013-03-16T22:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=709"},"modified":"2013-03-16T15:44:16","modified_gmt":"2013-03-16T22:44:16","slug":"foreplay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=709","title":{"rendered":"Foreplay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?attachment_id=710\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-710\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-710\" alt=\"rhody4\" src=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/rhody4-300x223.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/rhody4-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/rhody4-1024x764.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/rhody4.jpg 1037w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I&#8217;m quite sure all of this has been foreplay.<\/p>\n<p>Thus far, we have been playing in a delightful pile of mud.\u00a0 We have thrown out and tossed out decades of life.\u00a0 We have had trenches dug and pipes buried in a seemingly-endless treasure hunt.<\/p>\n<p>We have now signed a contract and the house-building is set to begin.\u00a0 Did you hear that?\u00a0 House building?\u00a0 Foundation to be poured.\u00a0 Get it?\u00a0 Permanent.\u00a0 Done and done.<\/p>\n<p>Last changes have been made to the plans (although I cannot imagine more are not going to happen).\u00a0 Items have been pulled out of the contract and shoved in to the contract.\u00a0 Responsibilities, dates, expectations and reality are on a collision course.<\/p>\n<p>Every cent that goes out is gone for good.\u00a0 Do we have enough set aside to live?\u00a0 That&#8217;s just one of the little questions that permeates our current existence.<\/p>\n<p>In order to have solar power, we may have to cut down more trees.\u00a0 I do not know if I am willing to cross that line.\u00a0 Big decision.<\/p>\n<p>My gosh this is really, really big.\u00a0 If we screw this up, bummer for us.<\/p>\n<p>The next 6 months need to be full of loud discussions and proactive positioning.\u00a0 If we sit meekly in the corner, then we deserve whatever we get.\u00a0 I need to go run through my vocal exercises.\u00a0 Loud and large and clear and strong!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m quite sure all of this has been foreplay.
