{"id":644,"date":"2012-10-13T13:29:33","date_gmt":"2012-10-13T20:29:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=644"},"modified":"2012-10-13T13:29:33","modified_gmt":"2012-10-13T20:29:33","slug":"raised-bed-garden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=644","title":{"rendered":"Raised Bed Garden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/raised-bed.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-645\" title=\"raised bed\" src=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/raised-bed-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/raised-bed-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/raised-bed.jpg 874w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Ya gotta laugh at that one.\u00a0 This garden is outside of Langley.\u00a0 Langley is a lovely little town by the sea.<\/p>\n<p>Today was the Bayside Farmer&#8217;s Market and there are only two more.\u00a0 The growing season is coming to an end, but unlike Colorado, some things hang on all winter.\u00a0 I have lettuce planted.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t expect it to do much, but just the thought of having it in the ground and not freezing is miraculous and wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>Our favorite seeded baguettes are sold at the Saturday market.\u00a0 We just found out that the bakers only sell at that market.\u00a0 That is some seriously sad news.\u00a0 It is also a super nudge to get us into the kitchen baking bread.<\/p>\n<p>Today was the first rainfall of any significance since the day we arrived.\u00a0 It finally feels like the Pacific Northwest.\u00a0 The sun peeks through once in awhile, the wind is blowing and occasional rain is falling.\u00a0 Tomorrow is supposed to be quite story and I can hardly wait to visit the beach post-storm.\u00a0 What will wash up?\u00a0 What new shells will surface?\u00a0 Driftwood?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ya gotta laugh at that one.\u00a0 This garden is outside of Langley.\u00a0 Langley is a lovely little town by the sea.
