\"\"<\/a>Two rentals in two months is too many.\u00a0 However, it does give me the chance to live in homes and assess things I want or loathe.<\/p>\n

Where did linen closets go? Did someone decide we needed a pantry in lieu of a linen closet?\u00a0 That is not a good trade.\u00a0 I want both.\u00a0 And yet, I can fit five or six bath towels in the under counter storage.\u00a0 This makes me laugh when I think of how many towels I had in Colorado.\u00a0 How many bath towels do I need anyway?\u00a0 Sheets are another matter.\u00a0 They are packed away in a plastic bin in the guest room closet.<\/p>\n

Oh…and closets.\u00a0 The prior rental had a closet with doors that were too wide.\u00a0 Seriously, I could not open the sliding doors more than about 6 inches.\u00a0 Who are these design rocket scientists?<\/p>\n

Counter space.\u00a0 There is never, ever enough, but once again, I find myself filling up that space with stuff.\u00a0 Stuff!\u00a0 It breeds.\u00a0 Bathroom counter space is another story.\u00a0 I wish I could train myself to have next to nothing on those counters.\u00a0 They need to be wiped down everyday and when there is all of that ubiquitous stuff laying about, well, you get the picture.<\/p>\n

Every single house needs a clothesline.\u00a0 The previous rental had a lovely rack in the laundry room and I used it all the time.\u00a0 This one does not.\u00a0 I bought a clothes-rack on wheels and it is now my drying rack.\u00a0 I love hanging laundry…you saw the clothespins my pals gave me?\u00a0 Well, that was one of the best gifts ever!\u00a0 I use them daily.<\/p>\n

Carpet.\u00a0 Lose it.\u00a0 It’s disgusting.\u00a0 Have you ever pulled up a carpet and watched as the filth trickled out?\u00a0 I don’t care how often you vacuum, that gunk trickles down deep.<\/p>\n

Windows facing south.\u00a0 Must have.<\/p>\n

Stairs.\u00a0 No.<\/p>\n

House.\u00a0 Need.<\/p>\n
