\"\"<\/a>Sweet, sweet snow day.\u00a0 I consider them to be gifts from Mother Nature.\u00a0 This one was unexpected and that makes it very sweet.<\/p>\n

So, what to do with the gift?\u00a0 I left loads of work at school, so that’s out.\u00a0 I can plan for next quarter and later in the year.\u00a0 Have I mentioned that this school year is flying past at breakneck speed?<\/p>\n

I think I will spend a good part of the day focusing on nooks and crannies that need attention.\u00a0 Open boxes (yes, there are still boxes), dig through cupboards, and toss and sort.<\/p>\n

I made headway in my goal to discontinue buying body wash in plastic containers.\u00a0 I think about the plastic and\u00a0 how overwhelming it is in our world.\u00a0 I recycle as much as possible, but better yet to avoid the initial purchase when possible.\u00a0 So, it’s back to bar soap and may I say it’s not what it used to be.\u00a0 There are some delicious bar soaps out there.\u00a0 Peppermint, herbals, lavender, goat’s milk and more.\u00a0 I like that some of these soaps have no packaging at all.\u00a0 That’s where I’m headed.\u00a0 Less packaging.\u00a0 Less plastic.\u00a0 Less trash.<\/p>\n

Outside the wind is howling and it is still dark.\u00a0 I have no clue how much snow has fallen.\u00a0 The dogs will be thrilled.\u00a0 Snow is fun!\u00a0 Fires will be lit.\u00a0 Warmth will permeate the air.\u00a0 Maybe banana breads need to be baked?\u00a0 Something aromatic and delicious.\u00a0 I have a good book to read, but I’ll save it for later in the day.<\/p>\n
