Today, we sold a few pieces of furniture.\u00a0 Made a small dent.<\/p>\n
Got the office moved and set-up.\u00a0 Got another room cleared out and painting will commence tomorrow.\u00a0 The cats lost their favorite high beds perched on three shelves in the room to be painted.<\/p>\n
As I look around, I calculate what needs to happen next and a book diet is on the menu.\u00a0 We both have several large cases of books…rooms of books.\u00a0 I could not possibly read them all in my lifetime and I have no intention of hauling them to the next place.\u00a0 Instead, I need to become an even more avid user of the library.\u00a0 So, now to look closely at the books I have and decide how to disperse them.\u00a0 Which of the treasures do I keep?\u00a0 Which do I pass along?\u00a0 How do I decide?\u00a0 I will try to make a resolution to buy no books for the next year.\u00a0 Oh, good luck with that.<\/p>\n
I am not a fast reader, but maybe when I retire and have free time, I can get through a book a bit quicker.\u00a0 I enjoy reading a book and relishing the language.\u00a0 I stop to look up words.\u00a0 I write in the margins.\u00a0 I fall asleep.<\/p>\n
