{"id":1065,"date":"2014-02-21T16:53:33","date_gmt":"2014-02-22T00:53:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=1065"},"modified":"2014-02-21T16:53:33","modified_gmt":"2014-02-22T00:53:33","slug":"seasons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/?p=1065","title":{"rendered":"Seasons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/roots.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1066\" alt=\"roots\" src=\"http:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/roots-300x223.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/roots-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/roots-1024x764.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/smugglerscove.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/roots.jpg 1037w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Lots of things have been happening.\u00a0 We are planning some dirt moving, garden building, open-space adjusting activities.<\/p>\n<p>Two of our favorite\u00a0people will be here to discuss concrete and dirt moving and drainage, et al.\u00a0 Should we put in a concrete pad for a hot tub?\u00a0 A greenhouse?\u00a0 A shed?<\/p>\n<p>And in the meantime, I am determined to clean up the mess left from clearing.\u00a0 I walk along the driveway and\u00a0all the detritus from the downed trees needs to go away.\u00a0 I want to clear a few walking paths.<\/p>\n<p>We have been outside quite a bit lately.\u00a0\u00a0I think late winter might be one of my favorite seasons.\u00a0 Warm enough to be outdoors for extended periods, and the bugs are still napping.\u00a0 The sun is higher in the sky and the days are getting longer.\u00a0 Today, the beach was spectacular.\u00a0 We went to South Whidbey State Park and\u00a0we were the only ones there.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t get better than that.\u00a0 We didn&#8217;t even take the dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks until Mussel Fest.\u00a0 Gardening classes are burgeoning.\u00a0\u00a0There is so much to do, so much to see, so much to smell and\u00a0we want to\u00a0embrace it all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of things have been happening.\u00a0 We are planning some dirt moving, garden building, open-space adjusting activities.
