\"S\"<\/a>…clothes, that is.\u00a0 Boxes are being unpacked.\u00a0 Oh my.\u00a0 Sizes between the time of packing and the time of unpacking seem to have changed.\u00a0 Did the clothes shrink or did I expand?\u00a0 The food on the Island is to blame I am quite sure.<\/p>\n

And so, this presents a challenge and another step towards simplicity.\u00a0 I have way too many clothes.\u00a0 Loads of them no longer fit.\u00a0\u00a0I started to box up things in\u00a0a now-too-small size, to put them away in the walk-in closet.\u00a0 Why ever would\u00a0I do that?\u00a0 So I can look at them stuffed in the box, much as I would be stuffed in the clothes?<\/p>\n

What is the deal with clothing?\u00a0 Do I enjoy having a\u00a0closet of choices, even though I always wear the same\u00a0things?\u00a0 Is it a sensory comfort?\u00a0 The sight of a full closet brings\u00a0satisfaction?\u00a0 Where do I think I am going to go in some of those outfits?\u00a0 This is a conundrum and one that I want to solve.<\/p>\n

Okay – TMI right now.\u00a0 I left Colorado with a minute amount of underclothing.\u00a0\u00a0Here’s what I discovered.\u00a0 It was enough.\u00a0 More than enough.\u00a0 And so now I have unpacked more and I wonder why?\u00a0 Lesson learned – I hope.<\/p>\n

Last night I considered counting all of my shirts and pants and sweaters and other things and doing some amazing mathematical equation to see how long it would take me to wear all of that stuff.\u00a0 I will might do that.\u00a0 It would be mind-boggling.<\/p>\n

Today, I am wearing a t-shirt I just cannot part with.\u00a0 My mother\u00a0gave it to me.\u00a0 It is raggedy, torn, thin and I love it.\u00a0 A few oddities will stay in the closet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
